Eastern Style Watercolour Animals
This series of minimalist, Zen watercolours started with a painting of a cat which won first prize and was the first painting to sell at the opening night of the art show. Since then I have painted more than a hundred and they have been a near sellout.
They are influenced by many years for practicing Eastern Brush - namely Chinese Brush and Japanese Sumi-e, painting with hand ground inks on rice paper. The paintings in this series now merge the ancient techniques mastery with modern archival materials that last a long time.
They have won many awards.
