"Old Pier at Karumba " Original Acrylic Painting by Jacqueline Hill [OR150]

Original Acrylic painting by Jacqueline Hill.

Karumba in Far North Queensland is a favourite destination for the Grey Nomads of Australia - roaming retirees with caravans. I stayed there with my mother one year for a week or two. I was training for a marathon at the time so I used to go out running on the dusty road for two hours at a time. One morning when I got up to go running I found a green frog all dustied up in my running show. I gave him a rinse of in clean water and he stayed happily on the window glass for a few days.

This was painted on location - I got a sunburnt nose while I was painting it!
